Veena Ravi has been gathering these dolls for a period of 20-25 years. In her home located in Basavanagudi, she has recreated the underwater city of Dwarka using more than 6,000 Dasara figurines. "Over the years, we have been collecting these dolls. Each year, we develop a new theme by utilizing the figurines to narrate various stories from Hindu mythology. For this year, we have decided on Dwarka, the sacred city believed to have been submerged under the Arabian Sea as Lord Krishna bid farewell to the world," she explains. This yearly family tradition has now turned into a local attraction, drawing in around 100 visitors daily throughout the Dasara festival. The preparations for this exhibit begin several months in advance. "We start arranging the figurines in August, ensuring that every detail is meticulously perfect," she adds.
